The Legend of the Basilisk Balisong.
The Basilisk Balisong is an out-of-production Midtech balisong. It is regarded as one of the best flippers and is extremely hard to find now. Each Basilisk has been carefully hand tuned to perform consistently, and utilizes a bushing system that is carefully tuned to reduce play. There are a total of 106 produced, and there are many different variations of the Basilisk. The two primary versions are the G10 Basilisk and the Ti Basilisk. Within each of these models, there are many unique and one-off knives that can have a range of features such as blade file work, serrations, and many, many handle finishes and colors.

Care for your Basilisk Knife:
A knife, just like anything else, will require proper care. While you dont necessarily need to feed your Basilisk or give it water, please store it in a dry place.
While it’s pretty common sense that you should not use your Basilisk as a chisel or leave it in a bag of lemon juice, please use extra caution when getting the bead blasted parts wet and such.
Dirt, salt, and moisture can accumulate in the microscopic crevices of any blade, especially bead blasted ones. This may cause rust stains, but will not pit. On a positive note, the Basilisk is satin finished or fine glass beaded and not sand blasted, so the finish is finer and more resistant to rust than something that is more coarsely done.
For those looking for added protection, there is a product called Renaissance wax that will help protect against corrosion.
Eezox gun lubricant has been said to have good results.
